Pete Arbogast

USC football play-by-play

Pete Arbogast is the long time radio voice of the USC Trojans. He grew up in Southern California, the son of local radio man Bob Arbogast, attending Marshall High School, Los Angeles City College and USC. His professional career began in Twin Falls, Idaho, and includes stops in Victorville, Porterville, Visalia, and Riverside, California, as well as Cincinnati, Ohio. He has been the play-by-play voice of the Los Angeles Clippers and Cincinnati Bengals, as well as professionally for ice hockey and baseball. He has called games for CBS radio nationally, and has been involved in two Olympic Games (1984 and 1988) as a national reporter, plus public address announcer at Dodger Stadium and for the World Cup Soccer finals. He is a multiple broadcasting award winner, and multiple times has been runner up to Vin Scully for the Southern California sportscaster of the year award. He is a long distance runner, and participates on the World Body Surfing circuit, orienteering and geocaching. He and his wife Jennifer live in Venice Beach with her two children, Holly and Leo. Pete has three children from a previous marriage, Stephanie, K.C. and Veronica and Stephanie's daughter, Pete's first grandchild C.J. He began announcing USC games professionally in 1989. Pete also works full time at USC as a broadcaster for the USC athletics website, www.usctrojans.com.
