Q) How does the online virtual sports broadcasting course work?
A) You’ll be provided access to our e-learning training platform to learn the best practices in sports broadcasting from our state-of-the-art training materials. Additional training materials will also be sent to you via USPS postal mail. Students meet up to three times weekly with their broadcast talent coach via Zoom or other video conferencing service to review assignments and sports radio shows.
Q) What will I be doing with my online virtual coach for these nine months?
A) You’ll be learning from our curriculum what professional sports broadcasters are required to know in order to perform the duties of the job. This involves watching instructional videos, reading, and listening to audio before completing vocal assignments from our curriculum. The goal is to prepare you host your own sports podcast or online sports radio show shortly after you begin. All this under the watchful eye of a professional sports broadcast talent coach who works with you one-on-one and proceeds at your pace.

Q What’s the primary difference between your home study course and your six and nine month courses?
A) The home study course itself does not come with a mentor. You’ll receive access to our e-learning training materials, and you’re responsible for going at your own pace from there. Our curriculum consists primarily of video and audio training, with some written sections as well.
Our traditional six and nine month broadcasting courses are structured to provide students with one-on-one training from a professional sports broadcaster, who serves as your talent coach. Arrangements can be made to provide virtual sports broadcasting mentors for interested students taking the home study course. (Additional tuition fees would apply).
Q What equipment do I need to use Zoom?
A) To use Zoom you will need one of the following:
- Computer. Windows or Apple computer with speakers and a microphone. (Note: Webcams are recommended but not required.)
- Mobile Device. IOS or Android.
- Phone. Mobile device, desk, or landline.
